Menu: Lessons → Lesson Periods
Tell the scheduler which class periods you can use for lessons on each day, and optionally set clock times for each period number.
Period availability (checkboxes) #
For each day column (Monday–Friday, A/B/X day, or rotation day):
- Check every period when you are available to teach a lesson that day.
- Changes save automatically when you check or uncheck.
M–F and fixed-day schedules — important rule #
On each lesson day, you need at least one period checked per group assigned to that day on Lesson Days.
| Groups on Monday | Periods checked for Monday |
|---|---|
| 5 groups | 5 or more periods |
| 3 groups | 3 or more periods |
If you only check one period for Monday but have five groups on Monday, the scheduler will not run. It will show an error asking you to add periods or move groups. (A/B/X schedules work differently because groups share a rotating pool.)
Lesson period times (optional) #
Use the Lesson Period Times section to enter a start time for Period 1, Period 2, and so on.
- With times set, lesson cards and your dashboard show the time (e.g., 10:30).
- Without times, they show Per 1, Per 2, etc.
Times save automatically. Use the trash icon to clear a time.
Validation before Run Schedule #
When you click Run Preview or Run Schedule, the system checks that:
- Each teaching day on your calendar has periods selected
- Each day with groups has enough periods for those groups (M–F / fixed-day)
- Groups are assigned on Lesson Days
Errors include links to Lesson Periods, Lesson Days, and Lesson Calendar.
